Please be our guest! Sandy Shores has been in the Hall family for over 60 years, and is currently owned and operated by Myrtle Hall. Myrtle is German-born and moved to Indian Rocks Beach in 2000 when she married her late husband, Ned. Ned’s grandmother bought the Indian Rocks Beach property in 1946. Ned's father George Hall built the first, two-story building in 1952. The one-story Gulf Cottage (vrbo/78339) followed in 1972. Ned's family lived here in the winter, and spent the summer in Ithaca, NY, where his father was the Golf Coach at Cornell University for over 40 years. Ned followed in his footsteps as a PGA Teaching Professional for over 25 years. He was teaching at the Clearwater Golf Club located in Clearwater, Florida when Myrtle, in Florida on holiday from Germany, met him in 1998. Myrtle and Ned, of course, had their wedding right in front of beautiful Sandy Shores!
Like Ned, Myrtle fell in love with this beautiful property and its rich family history. Ned and Myrtle started to rent out their cottages in 2005 after a complete beautification and enjoyed every minute of sharing this lovely property with their guests. Myrtle carries on the Hall family tradition of hospitality at Sandy Shores and adds her special brand of German warmth. Her attention to detail and cleanliness makes Sandy Shores a unique and charming retreat.

Sandy Shores is a very unique “slice of old Florida”, with lots of flowers, palms, lounging areas, privacy, all with a relaxed vibe. There are only four units on the property and three of them rent on a weekly basis – so most of the time you have the whole place to yourself.
The Gulf Cottage is a single story, one bedroom House, very private, quiet and clean with a spectacular, unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico. It has a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa.
The kitchen has everything what a chef would wish for, a big fridge, dishwasher, microwave and stove included. The bathroom has a bath tub / Shower.
Behind the Gulf Cottage and landscaped courtyard is a two story building – the top floor I reside in – with the PATIO and GARDEN Cottages below.
The Patio has a King Bed and Queen Sleeper Sofa, the Garden has a Queen Bed and
a Queen Sleeper Sofa. Both have a full kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave.
The bathroom has a bath tub / Shower.
The weekly price for the GARDEN is as follows:
Winter Feb-April $949 + $60 Cleaning + 13% tax totals to $1140.17
Other season $749 + $60 Cleaning + 13% tax totals to $914.17
Standard rate in "other" season $114 per night

The rest of the year, a 4 day minimum is any four consecutive days. *Check in is after 3 pm on your check-in date and check-out is at 10 am on your departure date. *Please call 30 minutes prior to arrival.

Numbers 78339 for the Gulf Cottage which has the most reviews and 508994 for the Garden Cottage. *Helpful booking tips:For ACCURATE PRICING, you must enter arrival and departure dates for VRBO to check availability and calculate pricing. Some seasons cost more per day and require a minimum of 4 or 7 nights. Minimum 4-7 days does not mean you can book 4-7 nights, it means you must book 4 or more consecutive nights OR 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday. Dates that do not comply with the parameters display a message of "does not meet minimum stay requirements". Winter season bookings are always 7 days, from Saturday to Saturday from December 15th to the last Saturday in April since 2005.

What a stroke of luck to find this hidden Gem! If I could rate Sandy Shores 8 stars, I definitely would. These cottages are located right on the beach and just across the street from some amazing restaurants. The gardens are beautiful with several seating areas, gas grill, outdoor shoewer, and the best part is the "awesome hospitality of the owner". Myrtle supplied every amenity possible in the cottage including Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, sun screen????? etc.. I can't find any faults with our stay. This will be our go to destination on our next trip to Florida!! Thanks Myrtle!
